Obesity in Colorado, it's a growing state and not in a good way.

Colorado is a healthier state than most, but we really have to careful not to use that as an excuse to not exercise and eat healthier because we are not immune to the growing health crisis of obesity. According to Live Well Colorado nearly 55 percent of Colorado adults and a quarter of our children are overweight or obese and we're getting fatter. If trends continue, only 35 percent of Coloradans will be a healthy weight by 2017.

Living here in Colorado Springs has enhanced my desire to be healthy, but I seem to be somewhat of an exception than the rule.  We have so many means to get out and get healthier, so let's go hike or even bicycle, walk, anything that will get you moving.  If you need a movement buddy, let me know.  There are so many people out there running, hiking and biking, but with these statistics there are just as many who are not.

We plan on getting healthier don't we?  Stop planning and just do it.  It's just that easy.
