Are your choices really that healthy?

Have you ever walked into Dunkin Donuts to order and you want to eat healthier so you have to choose. You could order 2 jelly donuts 420 calories or a sesame seed bagel with cream cheese 570 calories, you think well i could have the donuts because its less calories but really less calories yes but better for you no. Its not always about the calories.

Now lets take a look at Starbucks Frappuccino with whipped cream 550 calories or a Dunkin donuts 24oz strawberry banana smoothie 550 calories or a McDonald's large chocolate shake 1160 calories. Of course looking at these choices its not a question the shake is out, not to mention it's almost a whole days worth of calories in one shake.

Take the other two choices and of course the smoothie is better for you than the coffee. Most of us just do not know how many calories are in the items we buy out. I use to belong to a very large fitness spa and people would go in and work out or socialize and stop at the cafe on the way out to pick up a smoothie not thinking that they may have burned 300 calories working out and now they are walking out with a smoothie of 500 + calories. If we take a closer look at what we are doing we may find some easy ways to lose a little without sacrificing too much.
